About the Founder
My name is Krisia Justesen. I'm a native English speaker, born and raised in Bermuda, a beautiful, tiny, English-speaking island in the Atlantic ocean. My career took a winding path through a hedge fund office in Bermuda, a greenhouse in Israel, a kitchen in Spain, and finally to teaching English in offices and classrooms in Denmark.
Growing up, one of my biggest complaints from friends and family was, “Krisia, stop correcting my English!” Later on, as I travelled and lived in different countries, this was replaced by, “Krisia, can you please correct my English?”
My career as an English teacher began in 2005 when I got my Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) training.
I’ve been teaching English since then, in Spain, Turkey, and now Denmark. My main focus is on teaching English to adults and young people in their late teens. I’m outgoing, friendly, creative, and energetic, and I like to bring those qualities into every space where I teach. Most of my clients have had negative past experiences with English, and I want to change that.
I’ve lived in 8 different countries: Bermuda, Barbados, Trinidad, Canada (the French part!), Israel, Spain, Turkey, and Denmark. In my travels I’ve had to struggle to learn languages, just as my students struggle to learn English. I like to use my own experience learning other languages to help me to teach English.
I hate taking hours of classes, studying grammar, learning vocabulary lists, and all of the other hard work usually involved in learning a foreign language. Most of my students feel the same way, so I make sure that my classes are engaging, interesting, fun, and communicative.
Over the past 12 years, I have been developing what I now call the Forefront Learning System through research, trial and error. Students of all levels have tried my practice techniques and are surprised by how easy it is, and amazed at their quick success. Now I want to make it accessible not just to my students, but to everyone.
If I have my way, no one will ever feel like they are "bad at languages" again. If you learned your first language, you can learn any language.
Have fun!
