What is the Forefront Learning System?
You have probably spent hours in classes trying to learn English. You may have tried one of the many apps available as well. But you're here because all the apps and classes don't seem to work for you.
I'm here to tell you that you can do it. You don't need any special talent to learn to speak a language fluently. Well actually, you do, but you already have that talent. You used it to learn your mother tongue. The problem is, for some reason, we don't learn foreign languages the same way we learned our native language!
Learning a language is not like learning history or geography. It's more like learning to play the piano, or play tennis. Learning the theory can only take you so far. You have to get in and practice!
The Forefront Learning System is a tried and tested method of language learning, based on four specific practice activities. You start practising from the very first day. We take the focus away from learning English, and start using English.
Each of the four activities is quite simple and straightforward, and needs to be done for a minimum of 5 minutes a day to be effective. You can do them at different times of the day, and some of the practice activities can be done while you're driving to work, or taking a shower. The key is consistency.
The Forefront Learning System is not just these four activities, but the magic of how they work together. These simple, daily activities, you will re-activate the mechanism that you used to learn your first language, and as you do the course, your English will become more fluent and accurate, almost effortlessly!

Transformation
When my phone rings and I see it's from an English-speaking client, I let it go to voice mail because I hate speaking English. When I have to speak English at work, I try to make sure none of my colleagues can hear me. I don't want them to hear how bad I sound. I've never been good at languages. I don't think I'll ever be good at English. I just want it to be good enough to do some basic speaking and writing. Every sentence is hard work. I have to think about what I want to say, then translate each word into English. When I say it, I know it doesn't sound good, but I have no idea how to fix it. Just thinking about learning grammar makes me feel sick. I know my grammar isn't good enough but I really don't want to learn any more rules! I just can seem to learn vocabulary. I'm constantly using Google Translate. I look up the same word over and over, but when I need it, I just can't remember it. My English is so bad, it would take hours of lessons and studying every day for months for me to get better. I don't have the time. for it. I have work, family, and lots of other things I have to take care of. |

I like calling my English-speaking clients. It gives me a chance to use my English. I actually enjoy speaking English now. I don't even think about who is around me. It doesn't matter. If I need to speak English with someone, I just switch to English, no problem. For the first time in my life, I feel like I can speak English! Now that my English is so much better, I'm using the same technique on my German as well. I can't believe it. I start speaking English, and I realise that the words are just coming out of my mouth. When I listen to myself, I realise that it sounds right. I'm actually thinking in English! Grammar is just the way we choose words and put them together. As long as I do that right, I don't have to know what everything is called. I can use good grammar without knowing the rules. This is so cool! I'm learning new words without looking them up. I can feel what they mean. When I speak, the right word just comes out. It's amazing! It was so easy to find 5 minutes here and there during the day. It's 20 minutes in 4 blocks of 5 minutes each. It was so easy to make the time to do it. It made such a big difference so quickly. |
Have we met yet?
My name is Krisia Justesen. I'm a native English speaker, born and raised in Bermuda. My career took a winding path through a hedge fund office in Bermuda, a greenhouse in Israel, a kitchen in Spain, and finally to teaching English in offices and classrooms in Denmark.
My career as an English teacher began in 2005 when I got my Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) training.
A lot of my students (as did I) struggled with foreign languages in school, even though they had no problems with their native language. I was determined to find a way to help them (and myself) become fluent in a foreign language, without hours of classes, grammar study, vocabulary lists, and everything else associated with traditional language learning.
Over the past 12 years, I have been developing the Forefront Learning System through research, trial and error. Students of all levels have tried my practice techniques and are surprised by how easy it is, and amazed at their quick success. Now I want to make it accessible not just to my students, but to everyone.
If I have my way, no one will ever feel like they are "bad at languages" again. If you learned your first language, you can learn any language.
Have fun!
